I took this over ten years ago, in Montana while attending a family reunion. It's some barn on my Aunt Melodie's vast expanse of property near Two Dot.

The white sky is so big and so close at the same time. Almost like the pure white version of heaven you see in movies sometimes.

Hmmm, Loren's interpretation of the sky is better than mine. I was gonna say that's the greyest, most colorless sky I've ever seen. HOWEVER I mean it as a compliment, it's really interesting and makes the house almost blend in. It also looks misty in the picture, (which it probably wasn't, just an old picture I think?) which is awesome. Beautiful green grass. The perspective on the fence is perfect, how did 13-year-old Holly know how to do that?? Just great composition all around.

Come to think of it... I was twelve when I took this. It was the summer of '97.

I always liked the sky because of how stark white it is. It has a dreamy quality that's always infatuated me. I find it very peaceful. I remember really liking that fence because it looked like it had been there forever, so I wanted to include it in the picture. I dunno, perspective... *shrug* I think there's a little fog on the lens, which wouldn't shock me. It was rainy and muggy out. That's why it's misty.
